Apple unveils its Mac App Store with thousands of apps

Apple just unveiled its much awaited Apple Mac App Store. Take it like the existing app store for your iPod, iPad and iPhone. This could be the next wave in the evolution of software distribution. Reading between the lines of Apple's claim of "No more boxes, no more disks, no more time-consuming installation. ", you can be sure that it's pretty much the future.

I like what Apple has done, learning from each experience of their product development. With the iPod touch, they came out with the iPhone, with the iPhone, they realized that so much more could be done with a mobile device with a screen big enough for a reading experience that does web browsing, reading ebooks, perform simple tasks and yes. Apps.
Now they bring that experience they have in creating intuitive apps for users in the mobile devices and convert it back to their desktop categories.

Isn't that great? But its success would again depend on its developer community and to see if users actually like its concept through its cloud offering.
